Direct flights between Dresden and London bring increased visitor numbers

Daily British Airways connection between London and the capital of Saxony

Since 25th March 2007 passengers have been able to travel direct from London to Dresden and back for the first time. Up to 21st May around 6000 passengers took advantage of this opportunity, almost exactly half of them being British. From January to March 2007 the number of overnight stays by British guests in Dresden rose by 40 per cent in comparison with the same period last year.
A Boeing 737-400 (147 seats) takes off from London at 12:10 local time each day and lands in Dresden at 15:05. The return flight to London leaves Dresden at 15:40 and lands in the British capital at
16:40 local time.

London-Gatwick offers connections to destinations throughout the world. Its flight schedule offers more than 200 destinations with 90 airlines.

Return flights between Dresden and London with British Airways start at a price of £78 including taxes (approx. 115 Euro).

Gatwick Airport (www.gatwickairport.com) is located about 40 km south of London. It can be reached within 30 minutes from the city centre using the Gatwick Express. Direct non-stop trains leave Victoria Station every 15 minutes.

Dresden Airport is located just 7 km north of the city centre. Below Terminal 2 there is an S-Bahn (local railway) station which connects the airport with the city centre and the surrounding region.
